I am so very excited to share with you
about what God is doing in my life! This last March, when Potter’s Field
Ministries (PFM) visited my church, God tugged on my heart to find out more
about their programs.
I
have felt called to be involved in missions since I was a little girl and so,
to hear about an opportunity like IGNITE was an answer to prayer. IGNITE
Mission Training School is a training ground for young adults to become closer
to Jesus in every way and bless others in the process. IGNITE is a yearlong
missions internship in which students go to a training program in Antigua,
Guatemala for three months and are then transferred to one of the various PFM
stations in Africa, Central America, or Southeast Asia for 6 months where they
serve in the missions field through helping local pastors, and loving on the
children at the Potter’s Field Kids(PFK) programs. Students then go to the PFM
Headquarters in Montana for a one month debriefing and reentry program and upon
completion they will then return home and finish the IGNITE process by serving
for two months at their home church wherever needed.
As of
August 2013, I have been accepted into PFM’s IGNITE Mission Training School as
a missions intern and my program will begin on January 13th, 2014.
You cannot even imagine the excitement that I experienced when I heard this
news! I know that God will use this opportunity as a stepping stone for what He
wants to do with the rest of my life. My prayer and hope for this program is
that God will open my eyes to the need for Him in this world. I pray that I
will be able to embrace this opportunity whole heartedly and without fear. This
is a huge step and it is pretty intimidating but I know that, with your prayer,
support and the Love of the Almighty Potter, this program will be drastically
life changing in the best way possible. I am so excited to bring the Hope of
Christ and love of my Heavenly Daddy to these sweet children of God wherever I
end up!
But
I need your help. I need your prayer as I take this giant step of faith. Please
pray that I will not hold back but give all of myself to God so that He can
shape, mold, and use me in whatever way He wants to. Please also pray for
guidance, provision and determination. It would be an amazing blessing if you,
personally, would pray and consider helping me cover the financial commitment. The
program is $600 a month for the first 10 months plus the cost of travel.
Since finding out that I was accepted into
the Ignite program, I have been working full time and I have saved every penny
I have earned to pay for my expenses but it is not anywhere close to enough to
cover everything. An amazing answer to prayer would be if friends and family would
commit to donating a few dollars a month while I’m in the program so that these
monthly payments would be covered as much as possible. There are many ways you
can help financially. You can give small monthly payments or a onetime
donation. Whatever is easier for you. I am willing to serve in any way I can,
like dog walking, organizing, babysitting, cleaning or anything else you can
think of. Just give me a call. Please pray about helping me as I step out in
faith and go where He is sending me to serve Him and His people. If you do feel

This opportunity to be challenged and
changed is so exciting but also scary. Thank you so much for keeping me in your
